Rosters
Rosters are companion services that run in parallel with the generic VMS, and that may or may not be installed depending upon requirements. Furthermore, they are usually customized to the availability of local governmental 'Driver Vehicle Licence' (DVL) interfaces. A Roster is usually composed of two elements:
A webserver component accessible via the VMS webserver in a so-called 'I-Frame'. This allows user to view details relating to a specified vehicle registration number (plate) and to edit or supplement those details where necessary.
An export component responsible for either generating citations directly or for merely assembling the necessary details and images in a format suitable for a third party back-end system.
The following custom Rosters are currently available:
Police Department USA - United States (USA) only: With the !VmsRosterUSA webserver and !VexRosterUSA export service that allocates court arraignment dates, and produces Vehicle Citations, and associated court documents.
Community Speed Watch Civil Enforcement - United Kingdom (UK) only: With the !VmsRosterUK webserver and !VexRosterUKStarTraq export service that generates a simple CSV file suitable for a StarTraq backend.
VmsDispatch
This service may be configured to automatically forward files (sources) and messages to configured destinations (receivers). The supported protocols include:
- FTP
- SFTP
Bug Fixes
VexLc4Satellite: Now rejects files that are unreasonably small.
VexLc4Satellite: When identifying the camera mode via OCR and in the absence of a camera control file, the text was sometimes (erroneously) interpreted as lower case.
